Arkwright Liaison Officer Honoured with Freedom of the City of London

Arkwright maintains strong relations with its 996 (and growing) affiliated secondary schools across the UK through the work of our team of 18 Liaison Officers.

We are delighted to report that our Liaison Officer for North West London and Hertfordshire, Mr John Coleman, was recently made a Freeman of the Merchant Taylors' Company (one of the 110 London Livery Companies). As part of this John was bestowed with the honour of becoming a Freeman of the City of London at a ceremony at the Guildhall, London on 20th June.

John has been recognised for his long service to technology teaching, having taught at Merchant Taylors’ School, Northwood for 41 years as well as being the Principal Moderator for AQA GCSE Product Design, Chair of the Arkwright Teachers’ Working Group and being an Arkwright Liaison Officer since 2008.
