Scholars learn about Radio Comms at Bletchley Park
24 February 2017
A group of 14 Arkwright Scholars and their parents were welcomed to Bletchley Park during February half-term by the Radio Society of Great Britain and the Radio Communications Foundation. Parents toured the Bletchley Park museum whilst the Scholars were trained in morse code and radio communications.
The Scholars had undergone some pre-event personal study and after the on-the-day training they sat the Amateur Radio Foundation Licence examination. Passing this allows a person to operate their own amateur radio station.
