Arkwright success at CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2017
14 February 2017
The Arkwright Scholarships Trust was showcased to the Building Services world at the CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) Building Performance Awards on 7th February, hosted at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Compered by England rugby legend Matt Dawson, the evening allowed the Arkwright Scholarships Trust to raise its profile when Arkwright CEO Dr Martin Thomas presented the Award to the winner of the "Building Performance Training Programme" category (see header photo). The category winners were BREEAM Associate - BRE Academy.
The evening then proved an unexpected further success for Arkwright when two Scholarship alumni won awards as part of industrial teams:
Rob Harris, Arkwright Scholar 1997-1999 sponsored by Unilever plc, was part of the team from Elementa Consulting that won two awards:
- Building Performance Consultancy of the Year (up to 100 employees)
- Project of the Year – International
Tyron Stevens-Smith, Arkwright Scholar 2006-2008, sponsored by The Dulverton Trust, was part of the family team from TAG Catering Equipment UK Ltd that won the Award for Project of the Year – Leisure.
The Arkwright Scholarships Trust would very much like to thank CIBSE CEO Stephen Matthews and his team for making this opportunity possible and for providing such a fantastic event to celebrate the success of the building services sector.
