Arkwright Scholar James Haynes and his classmate Thomas Gray, who both attend Bootham School in York, struggled to find a good revision guide for their GCSE Astronomy studies. In true Arkwright style they quickly found a solution - creating their own book.

James and Thomas are now selling the book, called ‘GCSE Astronomy: A guide designed by students for students’, online.

Chris Jeffery, the school’s headmaster, said: “Tom and James had just taken their GCSEs and rather than moaning about a lack of good commercially available revision material, they decided to be their own solution to the problem."
