The Board of Trustees
The Arkwright Scholarships Trust is guided and monitored by a Board of Trustees who provide skills across the industry, education and academic sectors. The Chairman of Trustees is Dr Gary Vanstone FREng.
The HQ Team
- Dr Martin Thomas CEng MIMMM MInstLM FIET - National Director. Martin is responsible for the day to day management and strategic planning of Arkwright
- Jayne Beddows - Administration Manager
- Georgina Hare - Charity Relations Manager
- Karen Down - Schools and Scholars Administrator
Liaison Officers
The team of Liaison Officers is made up of retired Headteachers, Heads of D&T and Engineers. Liaison Officers are the face of Arkwright at local level, liaising with new and already-affiliated schools; and mentoring the Scholars. The team is actively involved with the selection of candidates and provides the National Director with an up-to-date view of affiliated Schools and Scholars.
Affiliated Schools can direct any questions about the Arkwright Engineering Scholarships and/or the application process to either Arkwright HQ or to their local Liaison Officer.
