2012 has proved a bumper year for talent!

We received a record 1103 applications for our 2012 Engineering Scholarships by the deadline of 20th January 2012. All candidates sat the aptitude paper on 1st February and my team is now busy marking aptitude paper scripts and assessing application forms before our Selection Panel meets to decide who will be invited to go through to the interview stage.

I wish all applicants the best of luck in their applications. I also encourage Design & Technology teachers who are not yet involved in the Arkwright Scholarships scheme to explore with us the potential for their school to take part in the 2013 Engineering Scholarships from September 2012.

Photos from Arkwright's many activities can be seen on our Flickr page and our 2011 Annual Review is now available on our Information Brochures page (see the button on the right).

Savoy Place, LondonThe consistently high standard of this year's applications sends out a clear message that Design & Technoogy classes in schools across Britain are a hotbed of future talent, capable of meeting the needs of the engineering sector and engineering-reliant industries in other sectors of the UK economy.

Arkwright relies on donations and sponsorship from organisations and individuals who are concerned about maintaining the outstanding technical talent that flows into the UK's Engineering and Design-dependent industries. You can make a donation via the Making A Donation page.
