Sponsors - Adopt a scholar
Feedback from Scholars who are funded by Charitable Trusts revealed that many felt they are missing out on the opportunity to have an interface with an industry partner, for work experience and partnership opportunities.
How the Scheme Works
Under the Adopt A Scholar Scheme a Scholar is adopted by a sponsor who agrees to support him/her by providing work experience, day visits and or specialist support for development of the Scholar's Design and Technology project.
Who can apply
Scholars whose Scholarships are sponsored by Charities or personal donors.
How to apply
Scholars should email to enquiries@arkwright.org.uk their current CV and a covering letter which should include:
- What you hope to gain from the partnership
- What you are able to offer the company
- What type of work you would like to be involved with eg design, development, testing, research etc
Involvement of Small and Medium size companies
Through the Adopt A Scholar Scheme Small and Medium size companies support a Scholar by providing the Scholar with work experience. Small and Medium size companies are asked to make a donation to Arkwright's Core Fund.
