On Saturday 17 September, thirty-four Arkwright Scholars and their parents and siblings attend briefing seminars at New York University's London Study Center, to hear about the US university application process, gain hints and tips to maximise the chances of success, and to explore the engineering opportunities offered by New York University's Tandon School of Engineering.

The Seminars were delivered by Mikael Perreau, Assistant Director of Admissions, New York University, and included a live video link to Professor Ramesh Jagannathan and his engineering students at New York University Abu Dhabi.
