Arkwright’s Chief Executive, Dr Martin Thomas, attended the recent national Teacher Awards of the Design and Technology Association (the UK’s teacher association for D&T teaching). The Awards and Dinner were hosted at Savoy Place, London by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (themselves a strong supporter of the Arkwright Engineering Scholarships).

Nineteen teachers were honoured for their fantastic work within Design & Technology education across the UK. Dr Thomas said: “D&T remains an important subject for future leaders of the engineer profession, alongside the other STEM subjects. I was delighted to see that teachers from seven Arkwright-affiliated schools were honoured tonight for their subject delivery and leadership.”
