Lauren Shea from Alton Convent School was appointed as an Arkwright Engineering Scholar in September 2016, sponsored by Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd.  Lauren and her friend Lucy were awarded the BBC Radio 1 Teen Award for Digital Technology just a few weeks later. The Teen Awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of young people aged between 12-17. Lauren and Lucy received their award at Wembley Arena on 23rd October.
